More Cycleway Madness
The Lord Mayor and NSW Minister for Transport seem uninterested in community opinion on the issue of the Bridge Road cycleway and are determined to make it permanent. The City Council also has a plan to allow cyclists to go both ways down some one-way streets in Glebe and Forest Lodge.

New website highlights the past and potential of this wonderful asset, sadly now falling into greater and greater disrepair. The Society wants to see it restored and put into use as an attractive green pedestrian and cycleway linking Rozelle and Pyrmont.

Update on Bridge Rd ‘pop-up’ cycleway
The COVID-19 legislation that enabled the introduction of a ‘pop-up’ cycleway on both sides of Bridge Rd Glebe/Forest Lodge terminates on 25 March 2021. A decision will be made within 8 weeks of this date to either remove it or establish it on a permanent basis.
Update on Bridge Rd cycleway: Council and State Government drag their feet on serious safety concerns
The cycleway remains dangerous and neither the City nor the State Government has explained how and when the problems will be addressed.
