POLICY:

The Glebe Society is a community organisation with no paid staff. As a result, the Society does not usually auspice projects or similar activities of other community organisations except where:

  • there is likely to be a significant benefit for the Glebe and Forest Lodge community
  • the potential ‘auspicee’ is reputable and can demonstrate a track record of good management
  • the administrative load on Glebe Society volunteers is minimal.

Within these guidelines, the Glebe Society Management Committee will consider the merits of individual requests on a case-by-case basis.

Information about auspicing can be found at https://www.nfplaw.org.au/free-resources/working-with-others/what-is-auspicing.

Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of the President to ensure that:

  • any breaches of this policy are brought to the attention of the Management Committee and dealt with appropriately.
