Over 250 Glebe and Forest Lodge residents attended a ‘Stop WestConnex’ meeting on Monday 24 October at Glebe Town Hall which was organised by the Coalition of Glebe Groups.
The highlight of the evening was a presentation by Snr Constable Renee Fortuna from Glebe Police, who described the program and progress of their youth initiatives at work in Glebe, that aim to encourage otherwise alienated youth to continue their education and aspire to bright futures.

The Glebe Society’s Bays & Foreshores Convenor, Dr Lesley Lynch, responds to the news that UrbanGrowth NSW has won multiple awards for their community consultation on the Bays Precinct development.
In addition to the formal Memorial Service for the late Robyn Kemmis that was held at the Sydney Town Hall in February, a local community event was also held in Glebe at the RJ Foley Rest Park on 1st May. The video is now available for viewing online at the Society’s YouTube channel.
