Snapper by Helena Klijn

We received only one entry this month, but it is a cracker shot and a clear winner!

Thanks to Helena Klijn for her photo of the instantly recognisable new Fish Market building, a night shot entitled Snapper. It is a perfect title and a great ‘capture’ of this new addition to our foreshore. Judges’ comments included the image bringing to mind ‘a weird, ancient fish’, and that the darkness provided a wonderful backdrop to the reflections on the water. 

The prize for the photograph judged the overall winner for the year is two free tickets for a Glebe Society walk or talk next year. The winning photograph will be published in the first edition of the Bulletin next year.  

We are very keen to see entries from more of our members, and hope that spring weather might provide some inspiration for the next Bulletin!  The closing date for next month’s photo competition is 18 September.
