Management

The Management Committee leads and manages the work of the Society and authorizes all legitimate action. The Management Committee is elected annually by members of the Society. Casual vacancies may also occur from time to time. The Committee is structured to address important issues affecting Glebe and its residents, ranging from day-to-day matters that require monitoring, to long-term issues and their effect on our community. It delegates authority within terms of reference to subcommittees. We also have policies that cover general matters.

Management Committee meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month usually at Benledi, Glebe Point Road from 7 pm to 9 pm. Any member of the Glebe Society is welcome to attend. Please contact the Secretary beforehand for details and so that your important issue can be adequately addressed by the Management Committee.

The Society’s annual general meeting is normally held in September each year. Annual reports on the work of the Society as a whole and its individual subcommittees are presented to members at the AGM.

See the contact details of the current Management Committee members, subcommittee convenors and working groups.

If you would like to get involved in the work of the Society in some way, to join one of the Society’s subcommittees, working groups or the Management Committee, please contact the Secretary or convenor of the group.

Management Committee Minutes are available on request.
