PLANNING POLICY
The Society’s constitution includes the following in its objectives:
(iii) opposing (by lawful means) development detrimental to heritage values or contrary to community interests
(b) to preserve and enhance the natural and architectural character of Glebe, and to encourage sound town planning, architectural and conservation practices
The Planning subcommittee pursues these objectives by
- reviewing State and local controls affecting Glebe
- promoting sound planning practice through such documents as the Better Planning Charter
- making appropriate submissions
- publishing information on planning matters
- conducting appropriate campaigns.
