The NSW Government began a comprehensive review of the state’s planning system in July 2011. The aim of the review is to create a new planning system in consultation with stakeholders and the community that meets today’s needs and priorities. The Glebe Society has made a formal submission to the review, and it can be viewed by clicking here.

I like the submission but worry about the politics. Wht do we think of the Better Buildings Partnership, luanched by Clover Moore 30 June 2011 it includes many of the big entrepreneurs who own 58% of the office floor space in the CBD – but they are round us too as Mirvac is one of them and the University of Sydney and the University of technology two others. The objectives all sound fine. SUstainability and green infrastructure and the like but perhaps it is my age – I wonder when the words are finished what the deeds will be.
