A Special musical celebration and champagne reception at Margaretta Cottage, Glebe, to mark the 40th anniversary of the Glebe Society and to recognise the work of members of the Society who have contributed to its achievements over 40 years. The concert, entitled Music Making in Sydney 1860s to 1960s – from Opera to Pop, will feature Annette Tesoriero, Mezzo Soprano and Nigel Kellaway, Piano.
This is also an opportunity to view this beautiful late 1840s Glebe house in Leichhardt Street.

oops ! just noticed a comment dated 2009! Is there to be a concert at the house this November ie 2015 Would love to visit and see inside – have seen the outside and was to have visited back in 2001 with my mother and her sisters – another special event – dressing up in Federation dress I think it was. But the 9/11 incident frightened off my elderly aunts and mum This house is a part of my family history story as Michael Golden is my x4 great grandfather and my great grandmother would have lived there as a child – when both her parents died (Margaret Kavanagh nee Golden) – I had communicated with Dr McIntosh back in the early 2000’s
