‘Investment in cycling infrastructure is incredibly important in a growing city like Sydney. If we want to encourage less reliance on private vehicles, we must ensure we’re providing safe and well-constructed separated cycleways wherever possible’, says local state MP Kobi Shetty.  ‘However, significant concerns have been raised by the local community since the cycleway was installed, with concerns about a lack of genuine community consultation in determining the location of the cycleway and questions about safety.’ 

Local advocacy group, Bridge Road Friends, commissioned a safety audit of the cycleway, which can be read on Kobi Shetty’s website.
