Do you want to submit a comment on, or objection to, a DA?
A good starting point is City of Sydney’s webpage on development applications. I encourage members to explore the information about development applications (DAs) available on the City’s website.
On that page, you’ll find a link to the Search development applications page, or you can go straight to the search page by clicking here. From there, you can get access to the details of all DAs submitted to the City of Sydney, both current and past.
The website also has guidance for making submissions. This information can be found on the webpage called Comment on or object to a development proposal.
When you comment or object to a DA, you’ll probably want to have a look at the local planning controls that apply to the development you’re writing about. On the page called Determine which planning controls apply within the City of Sydney’s area, you can search for an address on a map or click on the map and you’ll see a list of planning controls applying to that area.
The Society is currently developing a user-friendly guide for its members, which will be made available on our website.
