Joseph Michael Forde
Posted on 27th June 2026Joseph Michael Forde was a well-known newspaper columnist in The Bulletin and many other papers, signing off as ‘Old Chum’ and ‘Hayseed’. He and his family lived for a while in Hereford Street, Glebe, and his young son ‘Wee Davie’ died of complications of diphtheria there in 1878.
Christina Clark of Arcadia Road and her descendants

Around the turn of the 20th-century, Christina Clark bought two lots in the Toxteth House Estate from George Boyce Allen and built the eye-catching two-storey semis at Numbers 12 and 14 Arcadia Road.
