Heritage Subcommittee Annual Report 2026
Posted on 8th August 2026This annual report summarises the Subcommittee’s work: monitoring DAs, handling public heritage enquiries, contributing research to the Bulletin, and addressing major heritage issues including Forest Lodge School’s wall, the Wentworth Park viaduct and Glebe Island Bridge. Bays & Foreshores Subcommittee Annual Report 2026
Posted on 8th August 2026This year’s focus has been major foreshore development around Blackwattle and Rozelle Bays, with one win: Wentworth Park returning to the community. New projects, dense housing plans and transport shortfalls pose major challenges, while ideas like a new Glebe Island Bridge offer rare positives.
Blue Wren Subcommittee Annual Report 2026
Posted on 8th August 2026This annual report highlights a productive year: blue wrens returned, bushcare volunteers maintained and replanted key sites and the spring survey recorded strong bird numbers. The Subcommittee put forward habitat recommendations, monitored key parks and continued advocacy over the ongoing issues at Glebe’s Hill.
Communications Subcommittee Annual Report 2026
Posted on 8th August 2026This annual report outlines the Subcommittee’s communications activities, promoting the Society’s aims mainly through the Bulletin, websites and President’s updates. A member survey led to ending print Bulletins, shorter articles, and a multi-phase website overhaul to improve its navigation and usability.
