Melina (Galluzzo) Lane naming ceremony – 5th May
Posted on 16th April 2013To remember Melina Galluzzo, a well known and loved member of the Glebe community, who worked in Galluzzo’s Fruit Market for over 50 years, the Glebe Community Action Group initiated a project to name the lane just off Campbell Street between St. Johns Road and Norton Street, ‘Melina Lane’. City of Sydney Council has approved this naming. Join us for the official naming of ‘Melina Lane’ on Sunday 5 May, 2013 from 2 – 3pm
Off Broadway! Exploring the Art of Chippendale – 1st June
Posted on 14th April 2013Join a tour of interesting art galleries in Chippendale, including the White Rabbit Gallery, and discover this special art precinct – all within a few minutes’ walk from Broadway. We’ll visit 4 or 5 very different galleries and have lunch at one of them. Saturday, 1st June, 12.00 – 4.30pm. For details see the Flyer in May Bulletin.
Thirsty Thursday – Despana – Thursday 2nd May
Posted on 15th April 2013Members and friends are invited to meet in restaurants in and around Glebe, usually on the first Thursday of each month at 7pm, to eat and talk with other people who live in Glebe. We visit a different restaurant each month, with varying cuisines. Our next event will be on Thursday 2nd May when we will share a meal at the Despana, 101 Glebe Point Road, Glebe.
