We have two tickets to the Lord Mayor’s New Years Eve Party to be held at the Opera House. Janice Challinor, our Community Convenor has been given two tickets but is unable to attend, and with the Lord Mayor’s approval, she is offering them to the highest bidder.  The proceeds will go to CENTIPEDE at GLEBE PUBLIC SCHOOL, which supports children, aged 5–8 years with before and after school care, breakfast, dinner and holiday programs. Most come from disadvantaged backgrounds.

The tickets will go to the highest bidder, and last bids must be received by Janice by 12 noon on Tuesday 30th December. Janice will then contact the highest bidder that afternoon with the bank account details for a Direct Deposit to be made that afternoon, and evidence of that payment must be received by Janice without delay, or the next highest bidder will be offered the tickets.

The tickets provide access to the party venue on the north terrace of the Opera House which overlooks both the Harbour Bridge and the main fireworks. They include food, drink (including alcohol), dancing and live entertainment, plus a box seat for the fireworks.

In view of the unique nature of this event, which is ‘by invitation only’ and a highly-valued opportunity the opening bid has been set at $200.  To bid please email with your full name, contact numbers, your two guests’ names and your bid amount to community@glebesociety.org.au
